Ugly Dog Quilt

I found some fabric precuts at Ikea over the summer and thought they would make a super cheap, heavy duty quilt.  They are all heavy decorator weight remnants.  Have not seen them since.  I was thinking of something to keep in the car for using at the park or to cover the seat for a muddy dog.  I wanted to practice some Half Square Triangles (HSTs) being new to quilting.  I learned that I should press seams open when doing them, especially with heavy fabric like this.

For the quilting I did a point to point, diamond motif inside each diamond shape, both horizontally and vertically.  This quilt used polyester batting so it would dry faster.
